R6 had a Skipathon on Friday afternoon. It was great fun!!
R6 and R7 visited Oldbridge House last Thursday.
They got a bus to Tullyallen School and from there walked through the new walkway, Belnumber Wood Way, to King William’s Glen, part of the site of the Battle of the Boyne 1690.
After spending some time at Oldbridge House, they walked along the Boardwalk to the ramparts and Dominic’s Park. The sun was splitting the stones all day.
There were some very tired legs after the long day’s walking but all boys and teachers had a fun-packed and educational trip.
The Green Schools’ Committee had their inspection for the 6th Green Flag on Wednesday 20th March.
Barry Eaton from Louth County Council carried out the inspection and he was very impressed with the knowledge and enthusiasm of the boys.
He loved all the wonderful displays and projects on show throughout the school and commented on the cleanliness of our school yard.
A massive well done to all the boys that took part in the Boyne Atheletics Club Challenge Cup. The boys performed very well across all races, from the 100m sprints all the way up to the lung busting 300m race.
The boys also had great success in the 4x100m relay races.
As you will see from the photos there was a huge haul of medals brought back from the Lourdes Stadium.
