Spring has arrived at St. Josephs. Our daffodils and crocus are peeping through the soil and we should soon have a lovely display of spring colour.
National Tree Day was last Thursday 6th October. We had a super day across all 3rd classes – planting horse chestnut seeds and taking leaf rubbings. Test us on our knowledge of native Irish Trees!!
On 20th January some members of the Green Schools’ Committee started planting in the Native Garden.
A Rowan tree, 2 Holly Trees, Honeysuckle, Ferns, Lavender, Sage, Pyrocanthia, Virginia Creeper and wildflowers were planted with the help of Mrs Berrill, Mr Shevlin and Stephen.
