This week,  R10 had a darts tournament. There was 5 rounds. Jake and Aidan have made it to the final. It is really fun and a great idea.

On Tuesday R10 was challenged by Mr. Hughes (R8) and R10 won 5-2. It lasted about 1 hour. Spikeball is like volleyball but harder.

We are learning about WW1! We learned that it used to be called The Great War. We used the surface tablets to learn about it. Also we learned about the Red Baron, the Lusitania and U boats.

Today R10 went cooking. We made massive chocolate cookies. We put white and milk chocolate chips. We also put M&Ms in.

Last week R10 had fun with science. We made paper airplanes and cut a hole in the bottom and added an elastic band . Then we went to the basket ball court and launched them. That day we where learning about Newton’s 3rd law of gravity.

Before mid term break R10 made history comics. During that week we learned about myths and legends. We did our comics about our favourite myths and legends.

Today R10 made cool angle’s. It was were you stuck lollipop sticks on a big piece of paper. They were cool.

On the 23rd R1o did Irish stations with our student teacher Mr O’Conor. On the first station there was bingo. On the second station there was buying fruit and veg with fake money. On the third station we were playing games on the whiteboard. The last station we made up sentences with pieces of paper . We all enjoyed it and soon we will be doing maths stations every week.

On the 25th R10 were luckily invited to a talk about being safe on the internet. Boomerang Youth Club explained that you should never do Youtube challenges or cyberbully. They showed us what happened when challenges go wrong.

On Friday the 20th R10 had an art workshop. It was lots of fun. 2 people from Droichead Arts Centre in Drogheda visited us to help us. We did a cool type of art. We had to draw a head then pass it over to the left of us. The next person drew the torso, the third person drew the legs and then finally the feet. At the end you had a full body. We then coloured them. They looked really cool.
