Science Week in G3- Videos of our amazing Drawbots in action!

Science Week in G3

G3 100% embraced Science Week with great enthusiasm.

They actively participated in class discussions, STEM workshops and showcasing their amazing, innovative STEM/STEAM creations!

Monday= creating a spaghetti and marshmallow freestanding tower!

Tuesday= creating a spinning toy, inspired by the scientist Isaac Newton!

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday= designing and creating Drawbots! Yes, you heard it right–robots that draw!!

The class were presented with Science Week 2020 certificates Friday afternoon to mark their super efforts👏

Narrative writing in G3

G3 really enjoyed the First Steps narrative writing task. Great effort was evident from the word go-  from their brainstorming workshops, to writing their amazing stories, to designing their cover page! The class loved reading their narratives aloud to their groups. Their fantastic efforts were met with a huge round of applause👏😊.

Gaeilge in G3

The boys have put in great effort into practicing, learning and above all else enjoying participating in Gaeilge! Getting to know G3!

Upon returning to school, the boys wanted to get to know each other as a class. We enjoyed activities such as partner interviews, Back to School boardgame, “what lies behind their mask”, Rainbow Moments, MiPhone. These exercises allowed the boys to showcase their personalities, interests. We all really enjoyed taking part in these fun tasks😊
