Parent Crochet Class

The parent crochet class moved on line via zoom last September. The talented Geraldine who hosts the classes has continued to unite and inspire her class. Take a look at what the class has created in the last week. Amazing! Well done ladies!

Free online fitness classes for children

The Genesis programme in partnership with Louth Children and Young People’s Services Committee (CYPSC) and Louth County Council are hosting a range of Keep Well Initiatives over the coming months to help lift the moods of kids across the county.

 

One of the events include Mini Athletics and Fitness Fun via zoom for 2 to 7 year old’s between 10am and 10.30am and Niall’s Fitness Fun from 11am to 11.30am for 8 to 12 year old’s.

These are free events with Niall Fergus from Mini Athletics.

On-line Learning Raffle

ST. JOSEPH’S C.B.S. Raffle for on-line learning

H.S.C.L. and School Completion Program are running a Remote Learning Raffle.

Everyone has been doing such an amazing job with remote learning so far.

To reward you, we are going to hold a raffle where two children from each class will receive a prize.

To enter: Send your teacher some work this week and you will automatically be entered into the raffle for your class.

Supporting parents to support their children’s mental health and wellbeing

Dear Parents,

National Parents Council Primary are running free online interactive workshops on “Supporting parents to support their children’s mental health and wellbeing”, a training programme by NPC in conjunction with St. Patrick’s Mental Health services.

This programme supports parents to encourage and promote positive mental health and wellbeing in their children. The programme also explores how the building of resilience in children helps them to manage and cope with the day to day stresses of life as they occur. Parents who attend this session will:

  • Explore the factors that influence mental health and wellbeing in their child.
  • Learn how to build and nurture resilience within their own child.
  • Be given tips on how best to support their child’s positive mental health and wellbeing.

The sessions are taking place online via Zoom at

  • 8pm on Wednesday 20th of January
  • 10am on Thursday the 21st of January
  • 8pm on Thursday the 21st of January
  • 10am on Friday the 22nd of January.

Parent support for Home Schooling

Dear Parents, as we face the challenges of Covid 19 again this term, the Department of Education has advised schools to continue home schooling .

In the days ahead teacher’s at St. Joseph’s will continue your child’s education via See Saw or Google Classroom.
